Dr. Norodin A. Kuit, Chairman, Information Committee and Lead Halal Auditor of Muslim Mindanao Halal Certification Board, Inc. makes presentation on “Halal Food” during the 68th Regular Session of SP on October 18, 2011. A committee hearing was held later on October 26, 2011, which proposed an Ordinance “requiring all food establishments which serve halal food to acquire Halal Accreditation from Cotabato City Muslim Ulama Halal Certifying and Monitoring Agency prior to posting the title word ”HALAL” within their premises.” The Halal Ordinance is now in the second reading of the SP.
An SP Ordinance was also passed & approved “requesting the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture for the establishment of Halal Abattoir in Cotabato City in support to Halal Program of the National Government.”
